COVID Connection National Roundtable for September 8, 2021

A medieval replica of King Arthur's legendary round table, hanging in Winchester Castle. The table features the Tudor Rose at its centre, with the outer design portraying Henry VIII as King Arthur on his throne, surrounded by 24 places, each bearing the name of one of the legendary Knights of the Round Table of King Arthur's court.

Welcome back to the fall addition of the COVID Connection National Roundtables. After a summer break during which many of our roundtable participants got to experience virtual summer camps at Camp Bowen, we’re back with more COVID-19 Connection National Roundtables, now at a new time.

In our first roundtable chat of the season we will discuss how everyone has spent this summer. Hopefully this summer has brightened our lives more than last year’s did. The morning will begin with the weekly COVID-19 checkin followed by a discussion. Calls take place from 4PM to 5PM Pacific (7PM to 8PM Eastern).

The Pacific Training Centre for the Blind, Canadian Federation of the Blind, and COBD: Camp Bowen are hosting round-table discussions on blindness and Deafblindness-related topics each Wednesday in an effort to support Canadians who are blind, low vision, and Deafblind from across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. These gatherings are open to all Canadians who are blind, low vision, or Deafblind and one does not need to be affiliated with any of the sponsoring organizations in order to participate. These virtual events are intended to promote friendship, connection and sharing of resources and ideas.

You can join the roundtables, which are now available on Zoom and standard telephones \by either calling +1 (844) 6-2-6936 and pressing 8 or by joining us on Zoom.
