The Division Executive Director, program leadership, or their designate will:
• If possible move the threatening individual away from participants and staff
• If not able to isolate the threat, will move the staff and participants away from the threatening individual
• Attempt to defuse the situation
• If unsuccessful and the threatening individual is not a program participant in residence with COBD, ask the threatening individual to leave. Do not follow.
• If the threatening individual refuses to leave, if the threatening individual is a program participant in residence with the division, or if there is use or evidence of possession of a weapon, call 911
