blindness and deaf blindness connection National Roundtable for Thursday, May 4th, 2023

A medieval replica of King Arthur's legendary round table, hanging in Winchester Castle. The table features the Tudor Rose at its centre, with the outer design portraying Henry VIII as King Arthur on his throne, surrounded by 24 places, each bearing the name of one of the legendary Knights of the Round Table of King Arthur's court.

Welcome to the month of May! We hope that the sun is shining and the temperature is finally warming up in your area, just as it finally is in western Canada.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 4th, 2023, from 10AM to 11AM Pacific Time (1PM to 2PM Eastern Time) for our next roundtable.
We are excited to announce that Chantelle , a representative from the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC), will be joining us as a guest speaker. During the session, Chantelle will discuss the different national, and local advocacy initiatives that AEBC is currently involved in. Along with that, Chantelle will also provide an overview of a survey that AEBC is conducting in British Columbia. For those of you who are living in BC, BC residents with visual impairments can win $100 gift card by taking a 10-20 min survey on emergency preparedness by May 31, 2023. The results will be used to create workshops and decide resources to protect low vision, blind, and deaf blind people living in British Columbia. Of course, the survey info will be kept private.
Here is the survey.
