Update: We were originally not going to have a COVID Connection Round-Table on November 11, 2020, in honour of Remembrance Day. Due to popular demand, we will be holding a round-table on November 11, with the 2 minutes of silence being observed at 11 AM.
The Pacific Training Centre for the Blind, Canadian Federation of the Blind, and Camp Bowen Society are hosting round-table discussions on blindness and Deafblindness-related topics each Wednesday in an effort to support blind, low vision, and Deafblind people during COVID-19. These gatherings are intended to promote friendship, connection and sharing of resources and ideas. Calls take place from 10 AM to 11:20 AM Pacific.
The topic for November 11, 2020’s COVID-19 Connection National Roundtable is focused on the accomplishments of blind people in military settings and those of blinded military veterans. The morning will begin with the weekly COVID-19 checkin followed by the topic discussion. At 11 AM, 2 minutes of silence will be observed in honour of our veterans.
There is a list of call-in instructions available.
