Reminder of the Upcoming Special Meetings for COBD, PTCB, and the COBD: Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Division

This is a reminder to join us virtually on February 28, 2022 for the following meetings:

  1. A Special Meeting of Members for the Canadian Organization of the Blind and Deafblind (COBD)
  2. A Special Meeting of Members for the Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Society (PTCB)
  3. A Special Convention of Members of the COBD: Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Division

The official meeting invitation follows:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL MEETINGS WILL TAKE PLACE VIRTUALLY BY ZOOM AND STANDARD TELECONFERENCE ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2022:

1. A Special Meeting of Members for the Canadian Organization of the Blind and Deafblind (COBD)

  • 4:45 to 5:00 PM Pacific
  • 7:45 to 8:00 PM Eastern

The purpose of this meeting is to:

  1. Approve the organization’s 2020-2021 financial statements

Motion: That the Canadian Organization of the Blind and DeafBlind’s financial statements for the 2020 to 2021 fiscal year be adopted as circulated.

  1. Adopt Bylaw No. 2

See attached Bylaw No. 2 for the text of the special motion to be passed.

2. A Special Meeting of Members for the Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Society (PTCB)

  • 5:00 to 5:10 PM Pacific
  • 8:00 to 8:10 PM Eastern

The purpose of this meeting is to:

  1. Approve the organization’s 2020-2021 financial statements

Motion: That the Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Society’s financial statements for the 2020 to 2021 fiscal year be adopted as circulated.

3. A Special Convention of Members of the COBD: Pacific Training Centre for the Blind Division

  • 5:10 to 5:20 PM Pacific
  • 8:10 to 8:20 PM Eastern

The purpose of this meeting is to:

  1. Elect new directors to the Division Board of Directors

To register, please send us your name, email address, phone number and address by any of the methods on our contact page. Please also indicate which meetings you are attending if you can’t stay for all three. Those who were at meetings on November 1, 2021 will automatically receive the information for all of the above meetings by email and do not need to register for the meetings.

Please note: While there is no fee for membership in COBD or COBD: Camp Bowen, there is a membership fee for PTCB membership of $5 Canadian.
