Project Information

Participants must be between the ages of 19 – 30.

Sessions will be held twice a month from November 2019 – April 2020 at the centre and in other locations.

The project will consist of social and recreational activities, workshops and blindness skills training; it aims to provide a fun, upbeat, supportive environment where blind young adults can enjoy social and recreational activities, learn new skills and share positive strategies for dealing with blindness in a positive way.

Anyone who lives in Greater Victoria, is between the ages of 19 and 30 and who is legally blind or experiencing vision loss is eligible to enroll, free of charge, in the project. Activity and transportation costs will be subsidized (or free of charge in some cases).

Some sessions will also be accessible by conference call for those who live outside Greater Victoria who wish to participate.

The project is continuous intake, meaning you can enroll anytime. If you are interested, please contact us to register.
