Special Meeting, Saturday, march 7, 2015

The Camp Bowen Society for the Visually Impaired, a chapter of the Canadian Council of the Blind, would like to invite you to our monthly teleconference meeting, to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 1 PM to 3 PM.

Although this is one of our regularly scheduled meetings, which normally take place on the first Saturday of each month, some special business requires us to mark it with the special meeting designation, as per our constitution.

March is an exciting time for us. It is the time when we are finalizing all camp details and opening registrations to you, our campers.

Special note 2: This year, we are also looking for candidates to join our team in the capacities of Community Coordinator (Fraser Valley), Community Coordinator (Vancouver Island and the BC Gulf Islands) and Treasurer. Kaitlyn Kerr, who has previously served as our Community Coordinator for the Vancouver Island and BC Gulf Island region, will be moving to cover the post of Community Coordinator (Lower Mainland).

The post of Community Coordinator is a really exciting position at Camp Bowen that involves organizing local fund raisers, providing information to prospective campers and working with the rest of the team to further develop this great program.

If number crunching is more your thing, we are also looking for a new treasurer. Responsibilities include: Ensuring taxes are filed at the end of the year, balancing our accounts and in general letting us know how much we can spend. đŸ™‚
