June 21, 2020 is National Indigenous Peoples Day this year. We at Camp Bowen acknowledge that we operate on Nexwlélexwm, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Squamish Nation.

On June 21, 2020, Squamish Nation Elders will be present for a live-streamed ceremony to unveil a new sign welcoming visitors to “Nexwlélexwm” at the ferry dock. The new sign will compliment the existing sign welcoming visitors to Bowen Island. Links to the stream will be available on bowenlibrary.ca.
