Community Teams
Do you want to make a positive impact in your home community? The Camp Bowen Team is looking for dedicated individuals to represent the interests of their home communities and strengthen public awareness for Camp Bowen by building region focused volunteer teams.
An ideal candidate will have good oral and written communication skills and a passion for seeing the organization succeed. Strong leadership qualities are essential. Familiarity with the project is considered a bonus.
Duties include: keeping the board of directors up to date on changes within their region, building a relationship with their community and appointing volunteers. The organizing of volunteers can be done on a flexible basis and responsibility of events is shared among the community team and its local volunteers.

Directors
Director, Funding
Do you have a passion and desire to see the next generation of campers enjoying and learning from Camp Bowen? The board of directors is looking for a talented individual to fill the post of Funding Advisor.
The ideal candidate will be creative, resourceful and dedicated to seeing the project succeed. Experience of corporate funding or non-profit management is a strong asset.
The Director of Funding will work closely with the treasurer and board of directors to discover new and innovative funding opportunities for the project and help the board identify the steps required to achieve a renewable, self-sustaining funding model. Duties will include attending 1 teleconferenced meeting a month and spending time researching available funding sources.

Director, Social Media
The Director of Social Media will work closely with the Director of Public Relations and the board of directors to maintain the societies current web presence and explore new opportunities for its online expansion. Duties will include attending 1 teleconferenced meeting a month, updating the societies various online social media accounts and spending time researching new techniques for online marketing.
Experience with blogging software, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and other social media sites is an asset.

Board Members
All board members share the following responsibilities:
- Attending 1 teleconferenced meeting a month
- Supporting the community coordinators across the province by providing information on the society’s activities and plans.
The positions on the board of directors are excerpted from the society’s constitution below:
- 4.4 President The President shall have overall responsibility for the affairs of the Society. He/She shall chair all meetings of the Society, save where decided otherwise by the board of directors or where otherwise provided for in this constitution.
- 4.5 Vice-President The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President should the President be absent or unable to fulfill his/her duties.
- 4.6 Treasurer The Treasurer will manage the financial affairs of the Society, in consultation with the President and the Vice-President. He/She will maintain the financial records of the Society. He/She will prepare and present to the Society and the provincial community the end of year accounts and treasurers report for the Society.
- 4.7 Secretary The Secretary shall keep the non-financial records of the Society, including the official membership list, and manage the correspondence of the Society and submitting the end of year report.
- 4.8 Public Relations Officer The Public Relations Officer shall be responsible for advertising the meetings and events of the Society.
