The board of directors of the Camp Bowen Society for the Visually Impaired (CBSVI), would like to invite the residents of British Columbia to a province-wide community meeting that will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012. The main agenda items at the meeting will be community-facing aspects of returning to Bowen Island for the 2012 and other future camping seasons.
We are exploring teleconferencing as an additional form of creating community involvement to the project.
We would further like to reassure our members that teleconferencing will not be replacing face to face meetings. We merely hope to involve as many community members as possible.
Please note that if you cannot attend the entire meeting, you are still welcome to attend parts of it.
The schedule for the meeting will be as follows:
1:00 PM: The conferencing line will be open for participants to begin dialling in.
1:15: Opening remarks from the board of directors.
1:30: Discussion of agenda items. The agenda will be posted to http://www.campbowen.ca/ on Saturday at morning at 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. Requests to add agenda items can be made no later than Friday, February 17 at 11:00 PM and can be filed using the contact form at: http://www.campbowen.ca/get-in-touch/ .
2:15: Estimated time for a five to ten minute break.
3:16: Expected closure of agenda items. This is an estimated time. Meeting agenda items may exceed this time frame and be either parked for discussion at a future meeting or continue on until 4:00 PM.
